Ask where you return the car, how the inspection works and how you reach the terminal afterward. Allow for the rental handoff, any shuttle and the airline’s check-in requirements. Get specific instructions for an early flight.

If an unattended return is allowed, ask when the rental responsibility ends and how the company documents the inspection. Keep your final receipt and any return confirmation.
